We are celebrating!

Come on over to Sunday’s YouTube channel, Pawsome Sunday, to celebrate her milestone – first 1000 subscribers! Not too long ago we celebrated Sunday’s 1 year anniversary on YouTube.

She started with sitting and adorable fist bumps and crossed the finish line with collar training and nail trims. I began sharing Sunday’s videos on YouTube while she was in CatSchool. For the first few months, I kept all of her videos unlisted. I only shared them with her teacher, Julie, and the CatSchool community.

One day I thought, I am having so much fun training Sunday, and making her little videos. Why don’t I share them with all of you? I have to admit. It was a little bit scary at first.

A Good Challenge

At the beginning each subscriber was hard earned. I studied about what it takes to make a better short, a better video. Each video got a little better and better. It took 3 months to earn our first 100 subscribers. We went the organic route, not paying for subscribers. Not trying to beat the system. Just posting Sunday’s videos and trusting the audience and the algorithm to grow her reach.

Working on CatSchool Grades

During this time, Sunday passed her first 4 grades of CatSchool. Grade 4 was absolutely the hardest grade for us. We worked on her lying down in front of me and rolling over on cue. I had to remind myself that the lessons that were hard in CatSchool had the silver lining of more training time with Sunday. It also gave us more videos to create for YouTube.

Learning How to Make a Good Video

This past semester, I took a video production class at our local community college. It was not always easy, but it was greatly satisfying to learn Adobe Premiere, and the principles of making a good video.

We Appreciate Sunday’s Community

Sunday’s viewers have been so kind and supportive. I had no idea that Sunday and I would be building such a lovely community. People who love cats and are curious about cat training. I’m sure we have some calico lovers too.

Let’s give a shout out to Sunday’s cat daddy, Alex, who has been her biggest supporter along the way. He is the most wonderful cat coparent, and he cheers her on every paw step of the way.

Thank you Sunday, Alex, Julie, Lori, our CatSchool community, and our YouTube Pawsome Sunday community too. We would not have reached 1000 subscribers without all of you. 🩷
