What We Learned In Cat Training on YouTube For a Year
One year of cat training on YouTube for Sunday and me. Wow! I must love a challenge because cat training is not an easy path. Nor is being a YouTube content creator.
There were days when I wanted to give up on cat training. There were days when I wanted to give up on being a YouTuber.
Sometimes Sunday would not want to train at all, or she’d stall on her progress — like with the rollover challenge. We worked on it for months and never quite perfected it.
When I started, I had no idea how to create quality videos, overlays, titles, descriptions, pinned comments, or posts. I didn’t even know most of those were a thing!
Over time, my bond with Sunday grew, and I became more patient with her moods and desires — or lack of desire to train.
Sunday’s Breakthroughs
She waited until I released her from her carrier with a break word.
She learned to lie down on my hand signal.
She learned to pick up a ball with her teeth when asked.
She let me brush her teeth.
She became more and more comfortable with nail trims.
She went for walks in her backpack.
She became a snuggly lap cat.
She graduated from 4th grade of CatSchool.
