Yesterday I took Sunday to the vet to get her nails trimmed. Yep, I still feel more confident having them trim her nails. Sunday goes into her carrier readily and does not mind the car ride. I forgot to give her gabapentin and aside from being a little nervous with the vet tech, she did well.
Our veterinarian is next to my orthodontist. Sunday and I went together to the orthodontist to pick up my retainer. Worried about brining Sunday into their office on one hand, but I didn’t want to leave her in the hot car on the other. Leaving her in the car was definitely out.
I carried Sunday into the orthodontist office in her cat backpack. I said something like you must get people brining their pets in here sometimes because the offices are so near one another. Actually not. They were not used to seeing cats in their office, and they were delighted. Once I told them her name, they were cooing, “Hi Sunday. Hi Sunday. Oooo! She is so cute.”
Well, that just made my day. I bought Sunday back home and she was a little slow coming out of her backpack. I think she had a good outing after all.
